Podscape collects only the data strictly necessary to provide its services, including:
basic technical data required for app functionality
location data, when permission is granted by the user
Podscape does not collect sensitive personal data.
3. Use of Location Data
The Podscape app accesses the device’s precise location (GPS), including background location (when the app is not in the foreground or the screen is off). Location is used solely to provide the app’s core features:
– automatically playing audio content when the user enters a specific geographic area (geofencing);
– guiding the user along cultural routes and toward points of interest.
To let the audio follow the user’s position while the app is in the background, Podscape uses a foreground service with a visible notification. Background location access is enabled only after a clear disclosure is shown and the user’s explicit consent is obtained.
Location data is processed locally on the device and is not transmitted, collected, stored on our servers, or shared with third parties. Users can revoke location permissions at any time in the device settings.
4. Purpose of Processing
Personal data is processed solely to:
provide access to location-based audio content
ensure proper functioning of the app
respond to support requests
No data is used for profiling or advertising purposes.

Personal data is not sold or shared with third parties, except where required by law or for essential technical services.
